lets talk paint. :and my first video post:

so. with our new home we wanted some color.
we were thrilled to actually get to paint our current house--- but we went with tan. and khaki. and one room of blue. it was a great improvement from our white walled past, but with our new home we wanted some color!
with all of our windows we wanted something light and airy and colorful and fun.

so we started by doing this.



and then did lots of "research" aka... searching pinterest and google far & wide. we picked a color and then looked at it in actual homes. if you are thinking about paint colors... DO THIS. it was crazy helpful. we ruled a lot out this way... and the paint we picked i would NEVER have picked by the tiny little paint swatch. but after ryan searched this color on google--- we LOVED it.

so. may i introduce to you...

so of course... the one armed wonder couldn't keep it in the bucket for long.
over the weekend I cut in the entire living room and hall.
and holy smokes.
im crazy about it.




so today ryan busted his butt and painted the entire living room.
get ready for the amazingness...





OH. MY. GOSH.
I love this color. It looks awesome with the wood floor. It will look awesome with our furniture. and our giant piece of art going on that wall--- It is going to look SO GOOD.
This color also transitions in the light.... which is just really neat.

So the back room off the main room is going to be painted one shade lighter than the Marina Isle... its called Tide Pools.
I am so thrilled.
We LOVE  the living room color.

Can you believe that wall used to be NAVY!?!?!
and we had a lime green kitchen?! yeahhhh Kilz is amazing stuff.



We've come a long way baby!!! ....and its only been one month!
