The beach post...

You probably know that last week the Mr. & I took off for a week on the Outer Banks in North Carolina. Have you ever been? If not its a place you should add to your "To Go" list in life. Its incredible. Far away. Secluded. Quiet. Beautiful raw beaches. No hotels. No skyscrapers. Heck no real grocery stores. Its the perfect place to go for a week with your family. Enjoy the over load of pictures....

Just to get the vibe of the OBX...

Most of the drive looks like this... Ocean on one side with the Sound on the other.

Sunset over the dunes.

We took the doggies... They weren't exactly thrilled with the beach. Leia loved to run--- Mowgli loved to run back to the house. It was slightly disastrous. We didn't take the little one back.

(notice how deserted it is! best part of the obx)

This trip was a Snider/Llewellyn Family Gathering... We had three houses and packed them full of food and fun and family. Here is the entire crew... Surprisingly we are only missing one person out of the entire crew! My sweet sis-in-law Allison. It was such a huge bummer that she couldn't be there---- but we have her in the pic via iPhone. :)

Our days at the beach looked a lot like this...
Cousins playing in the sand.

Ryan and I laying out and reading.

Colin surfing.

Family laughing.

Our evenings looked a little like this: ICE CREAM!

and sunsets...

One morning I woke up around 6am and headed straight to the beach with Leia... I didn't make it for the sunrise, but I was pretty close.

During the day, in between laying by the pool and nap time---- We had some serious fort building time with Llew. This kid LOVED his 'ankle ry' and had so much fun with 'baby dog' in his tent/castle/fort. Whatever it was at that moment.

I loved spending quality time with this guy!

and this one...

He REALLLLLLY loved his ankle.

I got some good time with him too :)

Really this past week flew by. We had so much fun with our family. Enjoyed the beach and the beautiful island we were on. Hattie 2014 was one for the books!
