Girls weekend.
preface: this has nothing to do with buying a house. im sure you are glad.
flashback: a couple months ago.
a text from sara. im going to the lake in february. meet me there?
a few emails to my boss later, and a proposal of how good of an idea this is to my husband / a promise to load him up with food and goodies before i left... i got the go ahead.
so last thursday i got off work at 4:00 and took off for south georgia. 6 hours or so later i arrived at the lake for a refreshing, relaxing weekend. the kicker... it wasn't just my best friend in the whole wide universe, it was with two of her friends, who just so happened to be best friends.
it was kinda like a blind date. 2 best friends, hanging out with 2 best friends for 3 days. (they all knew each other, but for me, it was a weekend with strangers and sara)
i can't even stress how awesome it was though.
those two... are so much like me and sara its crazy.
they are also so totally different. it creates a ton of fun.
a TON of laughter.
a lot of pajama wearing.
some crafting.
a lot of eating.
and more talking than i've done in a long long time.
ryan would text, so what are yall up to now?
well. we are still talking.
just chatting. sharing our hearts. our stories.
laughing about our past. dreaming about the future.
it was pretty much one of the best weekends ive had in a really really reallllly long time.
going back to work after a weekend away is always hard, but its also refreshing.
hopefully this little girls weekend thing will continue in the years to come... but until our next weekend. praise the Lord for group texts.
Aw, I love it! It was AWESOME!!! And I love you, too :)
