Day one: Bon Repos

Today was great!  We went to the town of Bon Repos and worked at a mobile make shift clinic. We saw forty or so patients then went back to the fixed clinic and saw even more. Dr John Endi is a radiologist with us and he is teaching ultrasound. The clinic was recently given an ultrasound machine but doesn't  know ho  to us  it. It was cool watching  him do an ultrasound  on an expectant  mom who had never experienced ultrasound before. She was also surprised to learn she is due a month sooner than she thought
Today we didn't end up at an orphanage because it's Dr Blass birthday! Hi  staff threw him a surprise  party including  goat & a special Haitian liqueur that was like an eggnog mixed with coconut. Interesting.
Anyway- it was a great day.
